§ 1. Introduction
Adam Trojańczyk, who runs a blog at trojanczyk.eu, hereinafter referred to as “trojanczyk.eu”, introduces this Privacy and Cookies Policy together with information on the processing of personal data, hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”.

§ 2. User
The term “User” means an internet user visiting the website www.trojanczyk.eu, hereinafter referred to as the “Portal”.
§ 3. Information obligation
- Any personal data that the User enters into a form or provides when contacting trojanczyk.eu is processed in accordance with the requirements set out in law, primarily Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”.
- When a visitor leaves a comment on the website, we collect the data visible in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser signature to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from the email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if it is being used. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once a comment is approved, the profile picture is publicly visible in the context of the comment.

- Data Controller
The controller of Users’ personal data is Adam Trojańczyk — a natural person not conducting business activity. The controller can be contacted via the contact form available on the Portal or by e-mail at: . - For what purposes do we process User data?
The User’s personal data will be processed for:- responding to the User’s message,
- establishing contact with the User in connection with the message sent,
- sending a newsletter, if the User has given consent,
- fulfilling orders for digital products (e.g. e-books) offered on the Portal,
- analytical and statistical purposes, consisting of researching User traffic on the Portal,
- marketing purposes, including remarketing, with the User’s consent expressed via the cookie banner.
- Does the User need to provide their data?
Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary for: responding to a message (name, e-mail address), sending the newsletter (e-mail address), fulfilling an order for a digital product (name, surname, e-mail address, invoice data if applicable). trojanczyk.eu reserves the right not to reply to a message if the data provided in the contact form is incorrect. - On what legal basis do we process User data?
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) — sending the newsletter, use of marketing and remarketing cookies (including tracking pixels), transfer of data outside the EEA.
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) — fulfilling an order for a digital product, taking steps prior to entering into a contract at the User’s request.
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation) — retention of transaction data required by tax law.
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) — responding to the User’s message, analysing traffic on the Portal using analytics tools, pursuing or defending against claims.
- To whom may we transfer User data?
Recipients of Users’ personal data may include:- the entity providing hosting for the Portal,
- the newsletter service provider (MailPoet — data processed on the Portal’s server),
- the payment operator — Autopay S.A. (formerly Blue Media S.A.), based in Sopot, Poland, to the extent necessary to process payments for ordered products,
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — if the User has consented to marketing cookies (Meta Pixel), in respect of data on activity on the Portal,
- other entities where the obligation to transfer data arises from the provisions of law.
- What are your rights?
The User has the right to: access their personal data, rectify it, erase it (right to be forgotten), restrict processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. Requests should be sent to: . - Can you withdraw your consent to data processing?
Yes. To the extent that data processing is based on consent, the User may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal. Newsletter consent can be withdrawn by clicking the unsubscribe link in each e-mail. Marketing cookie consent can be withdrawn via the cookie banner on the website. - What can you do if you believe we process your data unlawfully?
The User has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in Poland is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl). - How long do we process User data?
- Contact form data — for the time needed to respond and resolve the matter, and subsequently for the statute of limitations period for any claims.
- Newsletter data — until consent is withdrawn (unsubscription).
- Transaction data (orders) — for the duration of order fulfilment, and subsequently for 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which the transaction took place (tax obligations).
- Data from analytical and marketing cookies — in accordance with the validity period of the respective cookies (details in § 4).
- Can the User object to the processing of their data?
For direct marketing purposes, the User has the right to object without justification. Where trojanczyk.eu processes User data on the basis of legitimate interest, the User may object on grounds relating to their particular situation. - Will your data be transferred outside the EEA?
User data may be transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area only if the User consents to marketing cookies (Meta Pixel). In such cases, data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA. The transfer is based on the User’s consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission. Before giving consent, the User is informed of the potential risks associated with the data transfer.

- trojanczyk.eu uses technical measures required by data protection regulations, including SSL/TLS encrypted connections, to prevent unauthorised persons from obtaining or modifying personal data transmitted electronically.
§ 4. Cookies
- trojanczyk.eu uses cookies, i.e. small text files stored on the User’s terminal device (e.g. computer, tablet, smartphone). Cookies can be read by the ICT system of trojanczyk.eu.
- The Portal uses the following categories of cookies:
- Necessary — required for the proper functioning of the Portal (e.g. session management, cookie preferences, language version). These do not require User consent.
- Analytical — used to collect anonymous statistics about how the Portal is used (Matomo). Activated only after User consent.
- Marketing — used to display personalised advertisements and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (e.g. Meta Pixel). Activated only after User consent.
- On first visit to the Portal, the User sees a cookie information banner and can give or refuse consent for individual cookie categories. The User can change their cookie preferences at any time using the banner available on the website.

§ 5. Browser configuration
- Regardless of the cookie banner settings, the User can configure their web browser to prevent cookies from being stored on their device.
- Cookies can be deleted by the User after they have been stored, through the relevant browser functions or tools available in the operating system.

- Changing the browser configuration to restrict cookie storage may result in limitations to the Portal’s functionality.
§ 6. Analytics — Matomo
- The Portal uses Matomo — web analytics software installed on the controller’s own server (self-hosted). Analytical data is not transferred to any third parties.
- IP address anonymisation is enabled in Matomo — the last octet of the User’s IP address is masked before storage, making it impossible to identify a specific User based on their IP address.
- Matomo uses cookies to analyse how Users use the Portal. Matomo analytical cookies are activated only after User consent is given via the cookie banner.

You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
§ 7. Marketing — Meta Pixel
- The Portal may use Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel), a tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Meta Pixel enables the measurement of advertising effectiveness and the creation of audiences for advertising campaigns on Meta services (Facebook, Instagram).
- Meta Pixel collects information about the User’s activity on the Portal (e.g. pages visited, purchases made) and transmits it to Meta Platforms. This data may be combined with the User’s profile on Meta services.
- Meta Pixel is activated only after the User has given consent to marketing cookies via the cookie banner. Without the User’s consent, no data is transmitted to Meta Platforms.

§ 8. Newsletter
- The User may voluntarily subscribe to the trojanczyk.eu newsletter by providing their e-mail address. Subscription requires explicit consent to receive the newsletter.
- The newsletter is operated by the MailPoet plugin, installed on the Portal’s server. Subscriber data (e-mail address, subscription date, preferences) is stored on the controller’s server and is not transferred to third parties.
- Each newsletter message contains a link enabling immediate unsubscription. Withdrawal of consent results in cessation of newsletter delivery and deletion of the e-mail address from the subscriber list.
- The legal basis for processing data for the purpose of sending the newsletter is the User’s consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
§ 9. Sale of digital products
- The Portal enables the purchase of digital products (e.g. e-books). In order to fulfil an order, the following User data provided in the order form is processed: first name, surname, e-mail address, and, if applicable, data necessary for issuing an invoice.
- Payments for digital products are handled by the payment operator Autopay S.A. (formerly Blue Media S.A.), based in Sopot, Poland (ul. Haffnera 6, 81-717 Sopot). The controller transfers to the payment operator the data necessary to process the transaction. Autopay’s privacy policy: autopay.pl/privacy-policy.
- The legal basis for processing data for order fulfilment is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention of transaction data for the period required by tax law is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- After purchase, the digital product is delivered to the User electronically. The User agrees to the delivery of digital content before the expiry of the withdrawal period, which means the loss of the right to withdraw from the contract in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
§ 10. Final provisions

- trojanczyk.eu reserves the right to amend this Policy by publishing its updated content on the Portal together with the date of the last update.
